About a week ago I went to the 5th Annual Threadless Meetup at the headquarters in Chicago! I actually gave a presentation because they honored me this year by choosing me as one of their traditional three designer presenters! It was nerve-wracking but a really good experience.

Anyway… this is what I wore… it’s a long story, but I basically lost a bet earlier this year and promised to wear a “certain sexy Harry Potter costume” to this meetup. It was embarrassing, especially since I had to give my presentation like this too, but I am a lady of my word.

Credit for the photography to my friend Randy! And not sure if you can tell but I’m wearing Emmy’s Potter Puppet Pal earrings (Snape and Dumbledore) haha!

A work-in-progress piece, collaboration with my friend Lucas de Alcântara. We’re thinking of making it a t-shirt design eventually, although I gotta finish it up…! Gonna call it The Magnificent Flying Flea Circus or something.

Hi everyone! My friend Alex and I have been working on this Harry Potter tee design, which I’ve shown a WIP of before - as you can see, we obviously couldn’t finish in time for the DH2 premiere (mostly my fault,) but at least have progressed much further from the first sketch!

ANY FEEDBACK, COMMENTS, CRITIQUE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. We absolutely want to know what you guys think. Is the concept understandable? Does it look cool enough? Would you wear it on a shirt? Any general suggestions?

EDIT: GUYS THIS DESIGN ISN’T FINISHED, IT’S JUST A DRAFT. That’s why certain parts look sketchy or blurry.

Hahaha, just saw this while tumblin’ randomly. So, I’m actually the creator of this shirt (House Brawl), along with my great designer friend Alex Solis. When we made this we had no idea it would explode on the internet like it did - I mean, it was just me nerding out over Harry Potter and wanting to make a shirt design to prove it. We ended up winning the 2010 Threadless Design of the Year prize (came with $20,000 USD!) along with the fealty of all the HP denizens of the world.
