My wings are tattered and your spirit is broken. Okay so blue and I convinced ourselves that Future!Dean and Future!Cas started hooking up during the Croatoan zombie apocalypse shit because “bang a few gongs before the lights go out” but as blue realized in her heartbreaking fashion it was probably meaningless to Future!Dean because nothing matters to him anymore, and I’d like to add my own little headcanon that I think Future!Cas knew Dean was coldly sending him to his death and went anyway because there’s also nothing left for him, he’s the last angel on earth, and that was also when the last of the feathers fell out of his wings and he died a human, completely alone. ;)))) ;) You’re welcome, fandom.
